RAW UNCERTAINTY

[Vera Wang scarf//H&M bun accessory]

It's in the most uncertain times that you must trust yourself. Even when that uncertainty may lay within you. For you have the power to not only cause uncertainty, but to establish security. You can always gift yourself a fresh start, but understand everyone may not follow suit. That is a truth you must settle with. Focus on bringing stability back to your self. Start with necessities. Only when you've successfully handled the minimum, add another thing to your plate. What is your minimum? Edit down what you need to survive. Add healthy components that may not have been there before: time for yourself, better eating, exercising your body. When you start with small changes you can handle, you'll gain more confidence in conquering the bigger, tougher pieces on your plate.

PALETTE: EURO REFLECTIONS

[room photo via]

I love dreaming of my future home, a physical manifestation of what makes me tick, what comforts me, what excites me. I want to curate the perfect collection of pieces that hold meaning and love, to surround myself with. And though all these things are lovely, sometimes we need a reminder that what matters most, is the people you share that home with.

To another necessary reminder,

THEY'LL ALL BE MEMORIES

Our experiences will all be memories one day, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't live in the moment as best you can, for false or altered memories still speak the truth.

HANGING BUCKETS OF SUNSHINE SMILES

[Athletic brand long sleeve//Target scarf//Forever21 skirt//Seychelles boots//ModCloth purse]

Growing up is fun, but at the same time, your brain seems to get more and more full. It can be a burden. I don't know how I'll possibly fill it with more...children and all they come with, for example. Phew! Thankful for my mommas, that's for sure! I know I've mentioned this before, but we truly have so many options in life, it can be overwhelming to choose. Even the most extreme of options should be considered. For example, do I want to be a fashion historian? History, romance, stories, travel, learning. Do I want to be a PR rep? Whirl winds, new people, emerging brands, competition, connecting. Or do I want to be an editor? Curate, dabble, style, travel, write, create. Do I want to live sweet and small? Or do I want to live big and loud? I feel as though the more options I realize I have, the more lost I seem to get. What if you want to do it all? Now.

Reminder-
having options is never bad,

FLORA

[c/o BzzAgent]

You know what I love most about perfume? It's magic! It pulls memories from the depths of our mind, it can stir desires and make you giddy, it mixes with each person's chemistry like a magic potion-making the perfume uniquely yours. It's also a decor element, beautiful glass bottles lining your shelves and dressers. These are sweet and simple, sparkly and elegant. Smell is so important to me, for all the above reasons, but especially because it truly becomes a part of you, your life, your memories. It tells a lot about who you are and who you want to be. Sense of smell, after all, is our strongest trigger.

Gucci's new collection of scents made to embody glamour, grace and gorgeousness is called Flora by Gucci. I honestly love each one. It's best to dab some on and let it sit. This opens up the perfume, gives it a chance to mix with your personal chemistry.  Although, I did like Glamorous Magnolia, I'd say Gorgeous Gardenia and I are the best fit. And what's even sweeter, it has royal, fashion history [read here].

OUR SUPER HERO CAPES

Remember this song? That's what I think of when I run around in my cape. We all have our own form of super hero capes. You know the ones...they make you feel comfortable, confident and ready to take on the world. That's why I'm in the fashion industry, not because it's the most forgiving and definitely not because it's the easiest, but because when you adorn yourself properly, it makes the world seem conquerable. That's why I want to be a part of this industry, because I wanna make every girl feel like that.

To making a difference-
no matter what your day job,

GRADUATION DINNERS AROUND THE WORLD

[H&M dress and scarf//SoleSociety shoes//Great Grandma's pin]

I'm lucky enough to have people who love me and want to celebrate my accomplishments with me. Something I should remind myself several times a day. And even better, they know my favorite thing to do is eat! Whether that be overeating at my favorite Japanese steakhouse or pretending I'm in Italy at an authentic local restaurant  definitely a new fave! Sometimes when you can't have the real thing, you've gotta find the best way to recreate it at home. And if you're lucky, your loved ones will do what they can to bring that experience to you too.

On a side note, I'm absolutely loving monochromatic outfits lately! Of course they're even better when they're in pastels! Here's my first attempt!

To recreating with resources-
whether it's outfits or world travel,

PALETTE: NAIL GEO

[nail photo via]

Doing some serious dreaming of far away lands. But how do you get past the dollar signs that block your view? And their reminders of incompetence? If you want it bad enough, you make it happen, right? What if you don't want to be dually employed until your eighty and paired with bread and butter sandwiches until retirement? Ooh, the luxuries of dreaming big...

Keep digging,
