THE LITTLE THINGS

"Its the little things that count." How often do we hear this? Do we ever listen?

My momma stopped into my work a few days ago with this absolutely beautiful flower, the last bloom from the garden in her yard. It was in the middle of an awful shift at work and it couldn't have been a sweeter surprise. And here it is again for me to smile at, as I share with you guys. It's the little gestures that show your loved ones are thinking about you and that can make your struggles a little less hard.

of people who love you,

ON A MOUNTAIN & IN A RUSH

Sometimes you've just gotta throw on your staples-blazer, scarf, blush & black-and run outta the door. This was one of those days. Rainy days call for easy pieces that look more put-together than the effort you put forth. It can be as easy as your favorite cotton dress and jersey cozy over leggings-another uniform of mine. And speaking of rainy days, I'm off to cuddle up to a movie and the rain.

of drizzly evenings,

WARM THOUGHTS

I have to admit I'm actually looking forward to the white blanket that covers my world every winter. It's quite beautiful. I do despise it when I'm gallivanting around the city trying to get everything done, but while sitting in a cute cafe sipping warm cocoa or cuddling up with your love bug on an evening in, there really isn't anything more romantic. So this winter I'm going to try my hardest to stay warm while waiting for the bus, so that I can spend more time appreciating its beauty than being irritated by its inconvenience.

To finding the silver lining-
or in this case white lining,

A NIGHT'S WALK HOME

Take a little time to pay attention when you take your normal walk to work, or home, or to a friend's place. Get your eyes off your feet. Enjoy some of the beautiful things you take advantage of. Who knows if it'll still be there next time or what it may look like-in different weather, at night instead of day, or in different hues through your camera.

Soak up the world's inspiration,

TWILIGHT, TEA & TALK

I was rescued today! That's the truth. My great friend, Cortny, got me out of the house and spent the day with me. We took a drive, ate a yummy lunch and chatted over tea; it's afternoons like this that reminds me what life is about and what great friends can do for you-enrich life!

I challenge you, instead of napping on your afternoon off, visit a part of town you haven't explored yet. I know it made my day infinitely better!

To doing what's best-
not easiest,
