AN UNTRADITIONAL BREAKFAST

If not officially, definitely at heart, I am a foodie. I get an exorbitant amount of pleasure out of meal time. Don't get me wrong, I can eat mikey d's french fries dipped in a wendy's frosty with the best of em, but I crave things like balsamic glaze, pellegrino sodas, goat cheese and turnips. This is another reason I use when reassuring myself I'm European at heart, my level of taste for food. I'm telling you guys, I'm determined to figure out how to get paid for the things I love-eating, traveling and fashion.

On another note, I'm working on some ideas and I need your help! Do you guys like watching fashion related videos on Nylon TV and other sites? Why? What would you like to see that you haven't already? Let me hear your awesome ideas!

Hope to hear from you,
Elisa

ZEBRA SHOES & ROCKSTAR GLASSES

Well guys, I've kept my blog free of any bad reviews because I don't approve of bashing blogs. BUT, that being said, I just wanna share a disappointment my friends and I experienced last night. We went to Yo Rita's here in the Southside for after-work-drinks (in my case food--hurry up 21!). We were having a great time; they have great food and drinks--asparagus tempura taco, hello! But the service...phew! Most of us at the table have worked customer service for years, some even as servers and we were blown away! Unfortunately, not in a good way. When we asked for the check to be split, the waiter rolled his eyes and said, "Be back in like, fifteen minutes...", this was after having argued with us, not understanding why he couldn't just split it evenly...uhh no I don't want to pay $18 for my $6 meal, thank you! o_0

How do you guys handle bad service? It was hard not to let it effect the good time we were having. Something I think we can all do, is learn to laugh at the grumpiness of others; I feel I need that skill more and more. But anyway, thanks for getting through my little rant, here's another picture of an outfit I wore in Bethany, doesn't seem that long ago, but at the same time it seems too long ago.

P.S. If you don't know who Jenna Marbles is, you my dear, are missing out!! Please check out the recent video my boyfriend sent me, he knows me so well. I cried, of laughter of course. Welcome to What Girls Do On The Internet...yes, Im part of this category lol! Btw, she's vulgar--I love it--but, don't say I didn't warn ya!

To ignoring toxic people,
Elisa :)

MORE BETHANY W/ A LIL' INDIA

Did you notice my hand in the last picture? Well here's a close up! Sharing the beauty from other cultures is so fun. Now if we could share more than art--maybe love for eachother--we'd be better off. On another note, my birthday is August 1st!! So to help all my friends and family I put a link in the sidebar with some present ideas. :) Just click on "Elisa's Wishlist"!

SAIL, SAIL AWAY

During my vacation in Bethany Beach last week, The Schnookums {I make myself gag sometimes too, really} and I visited an old sailing community his father used to frequent as a kid. He'd waste away days sailing with his brothers every summer--wasting in the best sense, of course. So Doug and I went to explore its beach and take photos for his dad. It's funny how getting to share memories with your family can be so touching, even if you get to share in them decades later. We even saved some horseshoe crabs!

To transcending time,

PLAYING WITH SUNLIGHT

Well guys, I apologize for the hiatus. It was my summer break before class started again. I decided I was gonna relax and unplug, something I feel like we should all do more often. Sorry I didn't tell you in advance. Over break, I spent my first week in NYC, my second working--because bills don't go on break, and just this past week at Bethany Beach. It was a great vacation. I also spent a lot of time thinking, something I wish I could also unplug sometimes. I've got LOTS of posts ready for you guys, promise!

Above, I've got what I found to be inspiring photos of the sunset playing tricks with my house. There seems to have been a lot of sun in the last few weeks of my life, quite symbolic I think. I've watched sunsets on my porch, sun blazing at lunch and sunrises on the beach. I've been trying to soak it all up and let in shine on my life. I'm hoping all this light continues.

To my loyal readers-
who stick through my hiatuses,
Elisa
