ORPHEUS & EURYDICE

Hi gang! Thanks for taking time out of your busy Monday to stop in. Not sure if you've noticed, but I've been working really hard to improve images on the site, so I apologize if this one seems to be a bit lacks. Buuuut, I am working on an AWESOME project today for Fashionista Barista, that's to be launched soon! Think...GLOBAL. Sorry, can't say much more. :P

This outfit is from Saturday; I went to an opera entitled Orpheus & Eurydice. It was a really great story. The short of it, a loving couple are ripped apart when Eurydice dies suddenly. This leaves Orpheus devastated, so he decides to travel to the underworld to fetch his wife, Eurydice. The condition: he can not look Eury in the eye, and he can not explain why. Doesn't seem like much, right? Well consider how important eye contact really is, especially if you're in a serious realtionship. It doesn't sound like much at first, but it really means so much; it's a level of trust. You can really see a person through their eyes. So needless to say, he falters after a big argument and ends up looking her in the eyes, which kills her. But after the goddess Amor sees his remorse, unconditional love and his painful sacrifice, she leads them both back to the mortal world, herself. Aw, how I love happy endings.

Happy Monday-
Remember things could always be worse,
Elisa
